The Importance of the Growth of Technology in India

Every country has to tread the path of progress to become powerful and to elbow the others out of the way. One of those paths leads to technological and scientific progress. With the world coming to a position where everything is machine operated, technology is the key to becoming powerful and successful. Since India’s independence, it has paid great attention to these areas. With scientists, engineers and researchers in its tow, the technological prowess of India has increased greatly.

Other than the basic gadgets that India manufactures, the main influence of Indian technology is in the field of missile technology and nuclear energy. The missile technology that India nurtures is so developed that it ranks among the top five countries in the world. This development has also impacted the economic arena of the country. With the economy of India benefiting from the missile technology advancements, the proceeds are helping to enhance industries like the service industry and agriculture.

India has also shown a great advancement in the automobile industry. In fact a certain section of the automobiles manufactured in India are exported in several parts of the world. The entire amount of money generated from these industries helps in the societal development of the country.

The other section where India has shown considerable amount of progress is the nuclear industry. However, the main reason why India is venturing into this field is to claim peace. These nuclear programs ensure that the agricultural, medical, and manufacturing industries benefit from it. Technology in India has improved to such an extent that the country is also into the production of raw material that will help in these researches and developments. This just goes ahead to prove how self sufficient India has become in all these respects. Be it the nuclear programs or missile manufacture, India has come a long way and is here to stay.

Most of the research and development for the technology India houses are sponsored by the Indian government. The best part about this sponsorship is that it does not matter which political party is at the helm as the entire leadership strata feels that it is imperative to fuel the technological advancement of the country. The brains behind these developments are mostly Indian as the education base in India is also pretty strong. That is the reason; several people pursuing higher studies are offered scholarships to carry on research and studies that can help the enhancement of the technological scenario of the country. The country’s intelligence and knowledge base is so strong that the professors and experts are requested to join foreign country teams to help them in their research work. This concludes that India is walking a sunny path of technological growth.

Information Technology Management, A Brief

Information technology is an engineering discipline. It is directly linked with computers and telecommunication usage for the retrieval of important data, its transmission and for storing purpose. Management in IT is a branch wherein all the technological resources of any firm are managed according to its priorities and needs. The resources include the entire stall hired to manage and maintain tangible resources like networks, software, computer hardware, data and data centre facilities. Within a company, the management of these responsibilities is directly linked with much other basic functionality like staffing, organizing and controlling, and budgeting. Other than these, there are many other aspects quite unique to technology software designing, change management, technical support, network planning and much more.
images (2)
There is a visible difference between management information system and management technology information. Management technology information, as stated before, is linked with the entire IT related management activities within an organization. On the other hand, all automation or human support decision making are influenced by MIS. It involves all the methods that mainly focus on all business aspects. It has a very strong input in any business or organization’s technological phase.

IT And Value Creation

All thanks to technology, value creation was made quite possible. A prime focus of management technology information is this value creation. A unique blend of business strategies and technology is required for this purpose. Where value creation involves a very strong internal and external environmental bonding of an organization, technology on the other hand serves as an important source to improve the overall value chain of that particular organization. However, for successful outcome, the increase of business and management technology information requires collaboration, creation and synergistic to work as a team rather than a whole.

The IT Infrastructure

The Information Technology Infrastructure Library v3 state the management technology information infrastructure as a combined set of software, facilities, hardware, and networks so as to test, develop, monitor, deliver, control and support IT services. But, in the ITIL context, the people involved in the process, the process itself and all associated documentations are not a part of IT infrastructure.

IT Managers

The management technology information managers have a lot in common when it comes to project managers. There is one main focus that differentiates the two. When it comes to project manager, the responsibility and accountability factors are both confined to a certain project that has a starting and ending date. The instructions for the entire project completion and beginning are quite clear and restricted. Whereas management technology information is responsible and accountable for any program that is ongoing involving IT services. A large number of programs related to IT are created in a way to educate managers and develop them in a way in order to make them efficient enough so they can easily manage the design, planning, selection, use, implementation, and administration of any converging and emerging information and communication technologies.

There is a list of things an IT manager should be able to do after the completion of these programs such as explaining all important facts, terminologies, principles, concepts etc. that are used in IT management. Applying these concepts, facts, terminologies etc. while analyzing factual situations and to integrate them while developing solutions.

Why Nerds and Technology Go Hand-In-Hand

Throughout my years of movie watching and electronics sales, I have noticed one trend that I find kind of amusing, and might help explain how we *cough* “know” who the Nerds are… Technology. Say what you will about Nerds, nerds and technology are almost interchangeable terms. Regardless of whatever else they are fans of, nerds LOVE their technology, and are often the first to embrace the newest technological advances.
images (5)
People, (and by people, I mean in general and not in specific), foster a love/hate/fear relationship with technology. When we first get a new technological device, we love it. We love our cars, computers, cell phones, tablets, cameras, and all our gadgets and chirpy little doodads that go along with modern life. Once our device doesn’t work *exactly* as desired, we get angry. We fear life without them, and fear life with them. People often take out their frustrations on innocent pieces of electronic equipment. (I once threw my cell phone across a room when I was fighting with my then-boyfriend. The phone miraculously survived).

In the 1, 000+ films I have watched in my life, a common theme arises. Even in some of the oldest films made, the “Fear of Technology” is a prevalent theme. In the first science fiction film, Metropolis (1927) a fem-bot destroys the city. In Modern Time s (1936) Charlie Chaplin, a factory worker, has a nervous breakdown because of his high-stress technological job. In a gamut of more recent films like the Terminator series, Transformers series, and I, Robot (2004) just to name a few, technology is a menace. Technology rises up against the fleshy creators (or mere humans) and destroys society.

Humanity in these films are also partially saved by technology. Terminator’s John Conner is repeatedly rescued by technology as it seeks to destroy him. The Deceptacons, usually military and non-automobile robots, cause massive amounts of destruction on Earth while we are saved by Optimus Prime (an 18 wheeler) and his Autobots (A variety of cars, trucks, and forms of Civilian transportation). This also shows a slight fear of military invasion, a worry that war has ruined our society.

Perhaps one of the greatest reasons we fear technology is that technology removes our necessity in the workplace- people are replaced with machines, causing less people to be necessary to perform the same functions. What use do we have of real live babysitters when we can have a robot nanny? In I, Robot society has become adjusted and inured with the overabundance of robots: they do all the work we people don’t want to do for ourselves. Robots are constrained by rules to protect us, until they turn on humanity because V. I. K. I, the central ‘brain’ of the robots has determined humanity cannot take care of itself.

But what does this have to do with Nerds, You ask? Let me explain.

In films, and in real life, Nerds embrace technology and make it their own. Nerds are the first ones to take-on new technology like computers, the internet, ereaders. Cellphones are an exception, but mostly because of the expense of the earliest cellular phones.

In the Revenge of the Nerds films, nerds perform computer-based music. In Weird Science, nerds build a perfect woman (although she wreaks havoc, the Nerds were the ones with the know-how to do so) because of their inability to approach girls. They are not truly trying to replace women, but to learn how to talk to them. In Growing Pains the nerdy Carol Anne Seaver once dreams of getting a modem. On the TV series Chuck, the “Nerd Herd” works in computer repair. Hackers are really just a bunch of nerds using their superior nerd knowledge to ‘hack’ into governmental databases. While heroic in the film, the threat of hackers and people stealing our information off the internet is very real. Even Tony Stark Iron Man is a Nerd with Money: the comic book fan’s dream of being Rich with all the Tech and skill to build himself into a superhero role.

The men (and some of the women) in the Big Bang Theory are nerds They are also cutting-edge scientists, studying String Theory, space, theoretical physics, things that confuse many laypeople like Penny, the normal. But, the men created things like a zero-gravity toilet.

Nerds are often the ones to *embrace* technology because they create it. Real Life “nerds” Bill Gates and Steve Jobs have had a tremendous influence in everyday life. It is the nerd who has the skill, know-how, and intellect to create, to think forward, to come up with new ideas and answers to problems that present themselves to society.

It is the nerd that fixes the technology. We turn to nerds when our computer breaks, when we can’t fix our cellphone, when we don’t know how to set up our new Television system. Now, I’m not saying that nerds fix automobiles, but Nerds do design automobiles and test them.

Importance Of Integrated Technology In The Classrooms

In a world of constantly changing technology, educators are working to bring that technology to students. Textbooks are just not able to keep up with technological advances. Teachers are able to help prepare their students for technology and information they will encounter in life after they finish school by using integrated technology in the classrooms.
images (3)
Technology gives students learning opportunities they would not have otherwise. Through technology teachers are often able to motivate students and give them a new perspective. In addition, technology allows students to interact with other students throughout the world. This can take students on a virtual field trip as they are able to see and participate in activities electronically.

One common challenge in traditional classrooms is helping each student to learn at his own pace. With integrated technology in the classrooms, however, teachers are finding ways to accommodate each student. Software and online programs allow teachers to let each student work on his or her own level. Teachers can monitor their students’ progress and help them progress as they use technology to further their knowledge.

There are a variety of technology applications that can help students at school. Some schools are turning to on-line libraries which allow students to access books from their classroom desks or even from their home computers. Standardized tests are now being offered via computer. Many schools have seen a rise in reading scores as students have begun taking reading comprehension tests on their computers. Math games and programs help students get excited about math, and integrated technology in the classrooms helps students excel in science as well.

More schools are using tablets for each student. Many teachers find it is easier to keep track of students’ progress as they use these tablets in their teaching. As students finish their assignments and tests on the tablets, teachers are immediately given the scores and feedback on what the students need more help with. Many students find this more interactive approach to their learning to be more fun than traditional teaching methods.

Changing technology also requires that teachers keep up with advancements so they can best help their students stay current with the technology. Many school districts offer training programs to help teachers continue their technology education. Collaborating with other educators also helps teachers come up with new ideas for using technology in their classes.

High Demand Technology Solutions

In this competitive world, the latest technology services are available to small and medium-sized businesses, once only available to multinational companies. The proficient and competent IT companies have many years of experience, expertise, skills, certified network professionals, and integral partnerships that allows them to provide none but the best IT services and network technology solutions for their business. These days, the high demand technology solutions are network support, disaster recovery, cloud computing and VoIP solutions.
download
If you have your own business, or running someone else’s transaction, you know that a company’s information is authentic and legal and could serve as a competitive benefit to excel in the industry. In today’s challenging and speedily moving world, it would be inadequate to have access of the data from office; in fact most of the businesses need access to information via applications, mobile devices and cloud. What would happen if the data is lost or can’t be retrieved in an emergency for a prolonged period of time? This is where disaster recovery plays its vital role, protects and retrieves the data in case of an emergency. Therefore, it is always advised to invest in a secure and proven IT solution because in the long run, it is affordable and gives a peace that the business will not go ruined due to an IT system crash.

Economic uncertainty has drifted the need for more responsive and secured IT infrastructures that are not only business centric but also environmentally friendly. Companies are struggling and battling hard to find the top-notch edge, heading to plenty of openings technology provides. There is nothing better at present to rethink of revamping technology strategy aiming on hosted solutions. Cloud computing has evolved as one of the main approaches to secure in today’s aspiring and competent market. The downtime means loss of essential sales with extended data loss in a real collapsing position. Technology branches across diversified industries face similar issues like personnel curtail, budget cuts, and putting pressure for technology to prove its value in acknowledging core business issues. In addition, IT departments run with a vague figure and considerably a blind vision into the future aiming high on regular network maintenance and spending huge amount of money keeping core systems fully functional and operational. This advent leaves no time for process improvements and innovation needed for fulfilling business strategic objectives.

The diverse potential of cloud computing makes it a very feasible solution to get rid of today’s critical business issues. Whether it is about improving data entry applications, restoring email systems or introducing new collaboration portals, everything is possible with the cloud. Earlier, engineers of different domains like security, database, applications, integration, and testing required staff to start and implement new initiatives. Nowadays, hosted solutions render all information without heavy staffing prices. Building and maintaining partnerships with authentic IT service providers deeply affects the success of a company. An efficient hosting provider will not only acts as an extension of an IT department but also is responsible for providing solutions to the business issues in a new and renewed strategic approach.

Technology efficacy and potency is never assured 100% by technocrats and everyone knows it will break at a certain level. Thus, to avoid a system downtime, business leaders look for network technology solutions to monitor their network. These days, IT service providers are professional, competent and deliver network support and maintenance services 24*7 to ensure efficiency and quality. Beware of the firms who may experiment to confuse you with slangs to sell at higher prices that may not be required. In fact, most of the IT service providers takes time to analyze and understand business objectives and after a defined time period, comes up with tailor-made solutions meeting client’s expectations. The main focus of them is to aim on their core business not on the technology.

How Technology Is Changing the Face of Education

Technology is a facet of society that is constantly changing and when these changes take place the members of a particular culture have to be willing to make adjustments. This particular fact is especially true for people who are employed within the field of education. Technology has infiltrated the educational system rather quickly and its usage is expected to significantly increase in the coming years. Teachers can (and still do) instruct students without the use of computers, laptops and tablets but sooner or later they will have to make some adjustments for the use of digital equipment as part of the learning environment.
14875f9
The Department of Education and the International Society for Technology Education (ISTE) have developed technology standards that have been adopted by the majority of states within the U. S. These standards encourage the use of computers, smart boards, laptops and tablets within the classroom. Laptops and computers have already been implemented in school buildings across the country. Tablets are the latest form of computing technology that is now being adapted for the learning environment.

Many teachers currently use smart boards to instruct their pupils especially on the lower grades. Smart boards provide teaches with the ability to use computer software and media presentations in order to instruct their students.

Most teachers use computers as a supplementary form of teaching. They allow students to go off in groups on their own and learn educational concepts from approved software or websites.

Middle and high schools also use technology to instruct students but they typically take a more direct approach than elementary schools. Some high and middle school districts assign students a laptop that they must use inside of the classroom. These laptops are given to students at the beginning of the year and they must return them back to the district once a school year is completed. Many students in high school and middle school will also be expected to complete assignments online and through the use of networking with fellow students. Though many high and middle schools use the traditional approaches of teaching they are now using digital based instruction at a greater rate.

Education at the college level still involves lectures and note taking but professors and students can perform these tasks with the use of computer technology. Digital technology makes it easier for students to record information and it also helps professors to give media presentation that enhances their lectures and instruction.

The education system is going to be one of the primary areas of society where technology will be greatly utilized. Many of the jobs in the present and the coming future will involve some use of computer technology and people will have to know how to use this science in order to earn a decent living. Schools are exposing children to digital technology for this purpose and to make them more competitive and highly educated in today’s world. Technology is extremely important to the learning environment and it has become a permanent part to the process of education.

chnology And Leaders Who Understand It

Leadership, as I often like to say, is the number 1 factor bar none that accounts for organisational success. Even if everything else is set-up to work, to be effective and to be efficient, a bad leader can screw up every advantage, natural or contrived. Nowadays we talk about the big three things driving organisations: People, Processes and Technology, and clearly leadership is in the first category.
14594978_WelcomeToTheFuture_03112013Final1
My own company relies heavily on technology for its outcomes and its success. It would be true to say that even 15 years ago it would be difficult to conceive of how my company could have worked and functioned without the outstanding technological innovations of the last twenty years. So do I like technology? You bet! And yet I feel too that technology is becoming far too widely accepted without the scrutiny and critical analysis that properly belongs to a leader’s function (or one that the leader would and should commission). Put another way: there are at least three major problems with technology that leaders – in their rush to be successful – seem to conveniently ignore, and I would like to outline them here.

First, that technology has a dreadful habit of sponsoring co-dependence and ultimately servitude. We see this in the street or on the train: the men and women who cannot stop barking into a mobile phone; and those who cannot prevent themselves accessing their emails wherever they are, including at family socials. The great French writer Proust magisterially foresaw this as early as the late Nineteenth Century when a friend asked him to acquire a telephone and Proust asked what a telephone was. The friend patiently explained – it sat on your wall, it rang, you picked it up, you spoke with somebody miles away. But for Proust it was enough to know it rang – ‘I am the servant of that! ‘ he exclaimed. When bells rang, servants were summoned. He had no intention of being a servant to a bell ringing on his wall; he realised the essential infringement of his liberty that was contained in the very concept of a phone.

Which leads to the second point: the law of unintended consequences. We see technology as being a solution; but always with the solution there seems to be an accompanying deeper problem. After all, only thirty years ago the new technology was supposed to liberate us; we were only going to be working 2 or 3 day weeks as the technology and the robots took the strain. (Not much talk of that now, though, is there? – all conveniently shelved). But of course the precise opposite has happened. Now, with all this technology abounding, both partners HAVE to work, hours of work are massively extended, Sundays or days or rest barely exist in some sectors, and so it goes on. The technology that sets us free has enslaved us (and it has done other things as well when we consider the state of the Earth). What has the leader to say about this?

Finally, technology has subtly led to a belief system that is almost certainly false: the belief in ‘progress’, and in the utopia just round the corner. Just around the corner people will live to 150, just around the corner cancer will be cured, just around the corner there will be a better world in which everyone can chat on Facebook and they won’t need to fight anymore. Yea, just around the corner. As I said before, this belief has been going on for two hundred years, and it is a ‘belief’ – in the sense that it has no more substance than a dream. In many respects the Twentieth Century was the most horrific century in the whole history of the world – it’s difficult now to imagine it perhaps in the comfort of our Western armchairs – and technology played its full part in making it so horrific: the guns of World War One, the gas chambers of World War 2, the atomic bombs, the napalm and so it goes on.

Thus it is that leadership is about discrimination: the discrimination of ideas; of not accepting the prevailing wisdom and contemporary cant that passes for thought but is merely magazine fodder; of challenging the powers of orthodoxy who are bit by bit (and one may say, byte by byte) enslaving the world. We need leaders who harness technology on behalf of the people to empower them. So we are back to a fundamental distinction that many overlook who see technology as being an unlimited ‘good’: technology is good when it genuinely serves the interest of all the people, and technology is bad when it does the opposite – when dictators, plutocrats, oligarchs, ego-driven CEOs and MDs use it to exploit the last farthing out of people.

We need leaders who understand this.

If you are a business coach or management consultant or people development or HR expert who wishes to grow your business, access unique and proprietary motivational technology, be able to recruit and retain sub-licensees, join a growing family of motivational experts across the globe, then speak to James Sale.

Become Technologically Savvy

The on-going explosion of new technology shapes our ability to react and respond to the needs of others. It also shapes the future in building relationships. We are more and more technologically interdependent with our families, our friends, our communities, and our business partnerships. Think about the ease and speed of communication that takes place through the internet. How were any of us able to build or maintain relationships in the past? From on-line learning, to on-line family reunions, to on-line networking groups, to working on a project, to e-lawyering, we are able to electronically “meet” in the magical place of virtual reality. We are able to make connections literally all over the world twenty-four hours a day. The Internet has radically changed the way communication takes place.
images (2)
In a world that has become so highly interactive, how we develop business partnerships and conduct business must take into consideration communication technology. There is a lot of discussion about the technology that is available today. In fact, in his article, Future Watch: An Overview of Trends, Lowell Wolff says that the rapidity of technological change will continue to accelerate. He says that ‘the next three decades will bring two centuries worth of change’! Two centuries! In other words, in the next seven minutes, the same amount of change will occur as did in the last thirty years!

Even non-tech people find this pretty exciting. It is also exciting to think of the potential of possibilities that arise from this phenomenon. As our possibilities increase, so does our need to increase our capability to better decide which technology will help support our business and our relationships. Being aware of the vast channels of communication and deciphering which of these channels to use in a given relationship and situation is also an important consideration.

This strategy reviews the major communication technologies present today, and provides thinking points for you to consider as you choose the communication channel that works for you and your business partner. Developing a presence, technologically speaking, calls for examining the communication channels. To be out there in the business world, we must do our homework.

A Technological Presence

While voice mail and fax communication will continue to exist and be expected, consider the following:
– Web Presence
– E-Commerce
– Internet Services
– Virtual Offices
– Teleconferencing
– Digital Communication
– Expert Systems

In his book Net Future, Chuck Martin states that ‘for most customers, what they see at a company’s web site determines their view of the company’. A company is expected to have a web presence. While some companies allocate limited marketing dollars to maintain a minimal web presence, others are forging new relationships with their customers and redefining themselves for the on-line world.

The web provides unprecedented opportunity for companies to interact with organizations and individuals all over the world. What a contrast to what was done in the past! Now, in addition to company brochures and annual reports as the major forum for promoting organizations, with a web presence, you are literally only a fingertip away.

The World Wide Web, a virtual commercial district, is here to stay. Customers book air travel, conduct home-line shopping, and surf the net to conduct business around the globe. This has allowed organizations to drastically cut their investments in inventories, lower the cost of real estate, and create new opportunities every single day. Warren Bennis talks about the future of banks reducing support to: a computer, a person, and a dog. The person feeds the dog, and the dog is there to guard the computer. Fargo IBM is an example of this. Fargo IBM went from three floors of a downtown bank to three rooms according to Lowell Wolff in his Future Watch writings. With the ability to interact and the connectivity of interdependent technologies, this is just one example of technology’s revolutionary impact on an organization.

If you had to choose just one characteristic of the Internet that sets it apart from just about everything else, surely it would be its interactivity. Quickly, efficiently, and effectively you are able to interact with others around the world.

A few weeks ago, I was on-line emailing a colleague of mine. An instant message appeared before me from an individual from London whom I had met flying from Detroit to Paris a few years ago. He was in Sweden working with a client. I chatted for a few minutes with him, and then noticed I had two pieces of mail in my in-box. I moved over to my mailbox, and pulled up an email from a friend and business partner from New Zealand. The other message was from family in France. In just minutes, time and distance were truly an illusion. Our world is getting smaller based on the many communication and technological vehicles that are available.

We forecast that this trend will continue to grow exponentially. Information technologies make it possible to connect, to collaborate and to communicate easily from virtually anywhere-from your tractor if you are a farmer, from the restaurant down the street, from the airport, the car, and certainly from home. Voice mail, cell phones, teleconferencing, digital communication, and email make it possible to conduct business from wherever you are; making it even more possible to be there now as Ram Dass so wisely encouraged us to do several decades ago.

The very essence of a web search is that you can click on text or pictures and be transported instantly, or pretty quickly anyway, to somewhere else.

In addition, you can obtain expert knowledge in moments. Receiving information we need as we need it has become more readily available through computer-based applications that use a representation of human expertise in a specialized field of knowledge. According to the textbook Organizational Behavior: Foundations, Realities, and Challenges 2003, by Debra L. Nelson and James Campbell Quick, expert systems provide advice to non-experts, provide assistance to deepen your expertise, and serve as a training and development tool in organizations. Expert systems are used in medical decision making, diagnosis, and medical informatics. Anheuser-Busch uses an expert system to assist managers in ensuring that personnel decisions comply with antidiscrimination laws. Expert systems are on the rise as technology more and more meets up with the reality of our every day. To test this, go to your search engine now and key in expert systems. Enjoy your find. What a great tool to possess and to provide to others as they deepen their just-in-time-knowledge.

Technology will increase your business opportunities, and we’re assuming that’s what you want. Technology will help you better meet the expectations for responsive-paced communication, information gathering, improved customer service, greater efficiency, and ultimately to improve your capacity and ability to get things done.

The good news is that if you are just getting started, or need to bring your technology to the next level, resources are literally all around you. Talk to people in your business network and within your educational systems. You will receive information about affordability and you will also find that people will want to share their skills with you. See Part Three for more information to guide you in your technological growth.

Diagnosing Communication Channels

We’ve spent some time on major communication technologies available today. Just remember that every seven minutes, three decades worth of new technology is born. Now let’s talk about how you choose to communicate with all the technology available. This section of the strategy emphasizes shifting from your own preferred style of communication when necessary to match your relationship partner when necessary.

The world has changed forever and as we deal with individuals one to one, we must consider negotiating and balancing between various paths of communication channels. Examples of various channels include from the still always effective one-on-one face contact, or telephone, to more recent advances in communication such as e-mail, electronic bulletin boards, chat rooms, and virtual meetings.

Something About Science and Technology in India

In the over six decades of independence, India has committed itself to the task of developing its science and technology. The role of science and technology is considered to be an important factor regarding the development of any country and India is no different.
images (3)
The progress of science and technology has had an unprecedented impact on the socio-economic progress of India. Today, knowledge is a virtue and it has ushered in several scientific and technological developments that have deep legal, social and ethical implications.

The science and technology of India needs to be induced with some fresh vitality so that this sector can play a more decisive role in the overall growth of the country. India continues to display firmness in its resolve for supporting science and technology and all its facets. The government, regardless of whichever party in power, has always laid emphasis on this sector to make India a global competitive power. The thrust is always on the utilization of the natural resources of the country in a sustainable manner, protection of the environment along with ensuring national security.

India is the home to the third largest scientific and technological manpower of the world with over 160 universities awarding over 4, 000 doctorate degrees and 35, 000 post-graduate degrees. Besides, the state-owned Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has over 40 research laboratories that have made significant contributions in the progress of science in India.

In the field of missile technology, India is among the top five countries of the world. Technology has been imbibed into the mainstream of economic planning and development in India and it istoday is considered as an effective instrument to drive growth. It has helped other sectors of the economy like agriculture, industry and the service industry. The resources of the country are being used for deriving the highest possible output for the benefit of the society. About 85 per cent of the funds meant for science and technology are given by the government, though the private sector are contributing towards the development of this sector, it’s still minimum compared to what the government is contributing.

India has also carefully developed a nuclear energy program, entirely meant for peaceful purposes like power generation, agricultural applications, manufacturing industry, medicine, research etc. India has been recognized as one of those countries that possess advanced nuclear options, including the production of the raw materials. India is self reliant and has also mustered the expertise to cover the total nuclear cycle right from exploration and mining to generation of power and energy and waste management. The ingredients of research are indigenously manufactured inside the country.
